10 Great family restaurants that will keep your kids happy in Glasgow!

I guess there’s only so many times we can run to McDonald’s in the hope that the Ipads or Ballons will be floating about in the hopes that little wild monsters will be tamed and we can sit with a well-deserved coffee!

There’s absolutely no reason why you can’t have a really lovely and slightly healthier family meal for dinner!

Thankfully, I have done a little digging only a true detective would be proud of!

Whether it is kid friendly food, children’s entertainment or copious amounts of margaritas I have a bundle of lovely places which will tick all your hungry boxes!

Also, I thought I would mention how certain I am of this post as I ended up with loads of cravings!

 

1- Barbarossa (Glasgow South Side)

This is a lovely family restaurant which had been open for 17 years! It’s a little Gem which is very unassuming just below Cathcart train station which serves all kinds of delicious Pasta and Pizza!

It has such a relaxed and authentic Italian feel to it, Plus, the owner Enzo is known to sit down at your table and Entertain the children by having little chats and telling them tales!

This place is going to make you feel welcome no matter what age you are!

2- The Left Bank

This is a super trend spot near Kelvingrove part!

They have yummy brunches of your little ones don’t want a meal, delicious lunches, and all day mains so you have a lovely choice of Scottish produce!

If that doesn’t sway you, the restaurant is in walking distance to Kelvingrove Park, The Macintosh museum, The Art Galleries and a variety of shops which will definitely make a day of it for your family!

3-Ubiqioutos Chip

Situated In Glasgow swanky Ashton Lane, this place you seriously canny beat!

Not only is their food heavy good, but they also have changing places, highchairs and plenty of other families living the life having lunch and dinner!

If you are in the mood for a seriously good bit of meat, pack your bags and enjoy!

4- Bella Italia

Kids eat for 1 Pound, uck aye, I’m sold!!

Children can create their own pasta and pizza so this is the place for fussy little eaters! They also have lots of delicious kid-friendly set meals to choose from!

Winner winner chicken dinner!

5- Scaramouche

A well-known restaurant for kids parties in the West End, this is not one to miss!

At 4.50 a pop for a kids meal and classic children’s dishes on offer this is such a great place!

They also serve a Buffet menu and as for us peckish adults, they offer main meals including loaded Nachos, Mac n Cheese, burgers, pizza and of course salads if you are still sticking to your New year diets!

6- Topolabamba

If tequila and Margaritas don’t already have you sold, their menu certainly will!

Load up on Guacamole, Tacos, Burritos, ribs and of course Tacos!

They welcome kids at all times and they will have their own little menu satisfy their little cravings!

7- Bread Meats Bread

Amazing Burgers which come in Vegan, Gluten-free, Poutine, and Halal options so everyone gets a little piece of the pie!

Their kid’s menu has something even for the pickiest of eaters including hot dogs, Toasties, burgers and goujons. Yum!

Plus, if you are like me and into your spice, they have a whole menu called “Red label” for all my fellow daredevils!

8- Cossachok

Standing as Scotlands only Romanian/ Russian inspired restaurant, this is a winner if you want to introduce new culture and foods into your children!

They are always welcoming to children and I think it is so lovely for kids to experience new foods from around the world!

9-Sapporo Teppanyaki

If your kids are bored with going to a sit-down dinner, this one is for you!

Authentic and made in front of you some delicious Japanese food is just the ticket for your family!

Located in Ingram Street, you’d be in the heart of Glasgow and close to lots of travel links too!

10- Princes Square

If you feel in a fancy pants mood and wish to point your little pinky out when drinking this place definitely has the upmarket feel to it!

Princes Square is always a winner at it is filled with gorgeous shops, ice cream places and a big choice of restaurants! You’ll always find kids playing in the middle downstairs area so this is great if you want your children with you, but also wouldn’t mind a spot of “you” time!
